Book Exchange Community Chest

Local community groups are invited to submit applications for small grants (up to $500) to fund projects that benefit the local community.

Priority will be given to submissions that show the following:

  • Clear benefit to local residents;
  • Long term benefits to the community (either in infrastructure or a project that is more than a once off, although these will be considered on their merits);
  • Documented within the Sea Lake Community Plan;
  • Ability to use funds as ‘leverage’ in accessing larger grants;
  • Willingness to be used in promotional material for Advance Sea Lake Inc.

Local groups will be invited to apply to Advance Sea Lake Inc for access to funds from the Book Exchange Community Chest. This will be advertised in the Sea Lake Times Ensign and on the Sea Lake website.

Successful applicants will have six months in which to acquit the money, and will need to provide Advance Sea Lake Inc with a written summary, with copies of receipts, of how the money was acquitted by the end of the six-month period.

Hardcopy applications are to be sent to: PO BOX 190, Sea Lake 3533 or electronically to applications@sealake.vic.au with the subject line, ‘Book Exchange Community Chest’.
